The solicitation, numbered 36C24625Q0749, will be issued on or about May 20, 2025, and will cover comprehensive inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems as well as inspection of sprinkler and fire suppression systems. The contract will be structured as a Firm-Fixed Price agreement, with all prospective contractors required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and Small Business Administration (SBA) databases. Interested vendors must use NAICS code 541990 and meet the associated size standard of $19.5 million. All correspondence must be conducted via email to LaKeva Cousins (lakeva.cousins@va.gov), with the response deadline set for May 29, 2025.

The contract opportunity is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), providing targeted opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs in the professional, scientific, and technical services sector. Contractors must ensure they are not on the Excluded Parties List and must independently download all contract documents from sam.gov without further notification from the Contracting Officer. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the NAICS code and size standard suggest potential contract values could be substantial within the $19.5 million threshold. The procurement will follow Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, specifically referencing FAR 52.204-7 regarding System for Award Management requirements. Interested SDVOSB firms should carefully review all documentation and ensure complete compliance with registration and qualification standards prior to submission.
