The physician must provide full-range outpatient and inpatient care, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, referral, medical emergency response, limited urgent care, and immunization services, seeing 7–8 patients per four-hour block while working 80 hours per two-week period at 100 percent presence.
Required qualifications include completion of an approved Internal Medicine residency with ABMS or AOA board certification or eligibility, current medical license in any state, current BLS and ACLS certifications, active DEA license, and enrollment in the Arizona Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. The physician must be fluent in English and culturally competent, and must complete facility-specific orientation and HIPAA/Information Systems Security Awareness training within 24 hours of start date.
The contract runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027 (base period) plus one option period, each in six-month increments. Contractor must maintain health care liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate. Offerors must submit three volumes: Administrative Documents, Technical Capability with detailed key personnel qualifications, and pricing.
