About this opportunity
The Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office has issued a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for the acquisition and continuation of comprehensive medical services for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) La Tuna in El Paso, Texas. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has determined that only one responsible source, Integrated Medical Solutions, LLC (IMS), is capable of providing the required community and institution-based medical services to the adults in custody (AIC) population without disruption. IMS, the incumbent contractor, has agreed to continue providing services at the same Medicare benchmark rates as the previous contract via monthly firm fixed unit price purchase orders, until a new competitive contract can be awarded. The proposed period of performance is from October 1, 2024 through October 31, 2024, with an estimated total cost of $105,120. The new contract will be an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm fixed unit pricing, and the requirement will be publicized through the government-wide point of entry.
