About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command has awarded a limited-source bridge contract for local drayage and warehouse augmentation services in Germany on August 31, 2026, under FAR Part 12.102(b) (restricting competition) and simplified acquisition procedures authority. The awarded contract number is W564KV26PA049; vendor name and award value are redacted.
The justification for limiting competition rests on urgency and operational continuity. The services are mission-essential, the existing contract (W564KV26CA001) expires August 31, 2026, and full and open competition cannot be executed within the required timeline. Additionally, the three pre-qualified awardees—Fuduric GmbH & Co. KG, Andreas Christ Spedition und Mobeltransport GmbH, and Schmidt Spedition GmbH—possess specialized knowledge and facility access necessary to ensure immediate capability with minimal phase-in period.
The bridge contract covers a 12-month base period from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027, plus a six-month extension through February 28, 2028 under FAR Clause 52.217-8. Scope includes delivery and pick-up of temporary and permanently issued furniture and appliances for military and civilian personnel, drayage distribution services, warehouse task augmentation including cleaning and minor repairs, and movement and storage of government-owned furniture and appliances. Place of performance is Germany. The requiring activity is Installation Management Command - Europe (IMCOM - E), with contracting activity being the 409th Contracting Support Brigade, Theater Contracting Center in Kaiserslautern. The government is actively pursuing a follow-on competitive acquisition for these services.
