About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Drum is seeking to procure 24 inoperable/wrecked vehicles for training purposes across two locations. The solicitation requires contractors to furnish and deliver a specific mix of vehicles, including 4 mini-vans, 4 two-door coupes, 4 pickup trucks, and 12 other vehicles. All vehicles must meet strict requirements, including having intact windshields, wheels with full tires that can hold air, being de-militarized, free of fuel and other liquids, and clear of environmental hazards. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the solicitation, the contract appears to focus on contractors' ability to meet precise delivery specifications and vehicle condition requirements. The key submission deadline is January 30, 2025, with a required delivery date of April 24, 2025, no later than 1:30 PM EST.
The solicitation is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, meaning only small businesses can compete for the contract. Delivery will be made to two separate military training sites: Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville, Indiana, and Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Indiana. The vehicles are classified under NAICS category 336999 (All Other Transportation Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC category 6910 (Training Aids). Point of contact for the Muscatatuck delivery is Bryan Jimenez, reachable at 317-503-2522, while the Camp Atterbury delivery contact is Timmy Stampley, contactable at 210-896-5580. Although no specific award value is mentioned, the contract involves the procurement and transportation of 24 vehicles across two separate military training locations, suggesting a potentially significant logistical undertaking for the selected contractor.
