About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting an Industry Day for Jet Engine Noise Suppressors including Fire Suppression Systems Repair & Installation (Hush House) on 27 May 2026, with registration due by 26 May 2026. The event will be held from 0930–1600 at the Georgia VECTR Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, with a virtual option available via Microsoft Teams for registered attendees.

The program sustains 135 Hush House assets across six configurations globally, primarily T-10/T-11 units (92 assets) supporting engine testing for multiple aircraft platforms including A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, T-38, B-1, B-2, B-52, C-130, and KC-135. The sustainment strategy is repair-driven through depot-level repairs and configuration updates managed under a single National Stock Number per system type. Key subsystems include Facility Control Systems, Fire Suppression, Exhaust Redirection, Powered Doors, Lighting, Communications/CCTV, Test Bay & Mechanical Heaters, and Roof Systems.

An RFP is tentatively scheduled for release in fall 2026, with contract award anticipated in spring 2027. The government is soliciting industry input on contract structure preferences (single-award or multiple-award IDIQ), NAICS code appropriateness (currently 811310), small business subcontracting challenges, field service representative deployment capabilities, reverse-engineering capacity for proprietary components, and identification of schedule and execution risks. Technical challenges include proprietary constraints on Fire Suppression and Facility Control Systems tied to the original equipment manufacturer, along with outdated technical data requiring substantial rewrites.

To register, send an email to Wesley Hardy (wesley.hardy@us.af.mil), Anna Isom (anna.isom@us.af.mil), and Alyssa Spencer (alyssa.spencer@us.af.mil). Briefing materials will be posted and breakout sessions scheduled upon receipt of RSVPs.
