About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing vendor inquiries regarding a Jet Engine Silencer maintenance and support contract opportunity. The RFP is tentatively scheduled for release in fall 2026, with contract award anticipated in spring 2027.

The program will provide necessary data to support hush house NSNs (National Stock Numbers), though vendors may need to perform technical updates on dated government-owned data. No vendor qualification process is applicable to this program. There are currently no obsolescence or diminishing supplier issues; all such issues are addressed through Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) as they arise. The government tracks field-requested repairs and will provide official documentation at a later date, though a historical Pareto chart showing task order categories is not yet available. No government-owned inventory exists to support hush house maintenance; supplies will be procured for each individual task order. F-35/F-135 platforms and related hush house upgrades are not applicable to this contract. Inquiries regarding CELDAS (data rights) and Government Purpose Rights are marked not applicable, as DAS is not part of the program, though CEL is willing to offer CELDAS to the USAF separately.
