The VA Northern California Health Care System, located in Mather, California, requires full-service support including repairs, corrective and preventative maintenance, and replacement parts for two Constellation LXT vitrectomy units. The procurement is being executed under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), which permits sole source contracting when only one source can meet government requirements. Prospective contractors interested in this opportunity must submit detailed technical documentation demonstrating their capabilities to service the Constellation LXT units by October 24, 2025, at 3:30 PM Pacific Time via email. While this is not a competitive solicitation, the VA will review any submissions received and retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with the non-competitive award based on responses. The requirement falls under NAICS Code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a small business size standard of $34 million, and is classified under PSC Code J065 for maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Interested contractors should note that no formal solicitation package will be issued, and the government will not bear any costs associated with proposal preparation. This Special Notice represents the only announcement the VA will issue for this procurement.
