About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, specifically VISN 10 Network Contracting Office, published this Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source on December 2, 2025. The notice announces the VA's intention to pursue a non-competitive procurement with Pearson Medical Technologies, a large business, for IPack Maintenance Services at the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This announcement is being made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements for publicizing sole source procurement actions. The notice clarifies that this is purely informational and does not constitute a request for formal proposals, quotes, or technical submissions. Any responses received will be evaluated solely to determine whether a competitive procurement should be conducted in the future, and submission does not entitle any party to government payment or reimbursement.

The primary objective of this sole source procurement is to secure specialized IPack maintenance and repair services for medical equipment at the Northern Indiana Healthcare System facility. The contracting action will be structured as a base year with two optional years exercisable at the government's discretion, with responses due by December 5, 2025 at 12:30 Eastern Time. Pearson Medical Technologies has been determined to be the only contractor meeting the suitability criteria as outlined in the Statement of Work and is therefore eligible for this non-competitive award.
