About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 17, has issued a Special Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement. The contracting office intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to GE Precision Healthcare, LLC for full-service maintenance and support of specialized medical imaging equipment. The equipment covered under this contract includes the GEHC XR AMX NAVIGATE Collapsible imaging system, GEHC XR FlashPad HD Detector, and GEHC XR OEC ELITE 31cm CFD C-Arm systems used for vascular and cardiac imaging. The procurement is being conducted as a sole source acquisition because GE HealthCare is the original equipment manufacturer of these systems and holds proprietary patents and intellectual property rights to the equipment and its service technologies. Interested contractors or alternative sources have seven days from the notice's publication date to submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to demonstrate that comparable products or services are available that would be more advantageous to the government. The response deadline is January 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, with submissions directed to the contracting office. If no affirmative written response is received within the seven-day window, the contract will be awarded to GE Precision Healthcare, LLC without further notice. While this notice is not a formal request for proposals, all responsible sources are encouraged to submit documentation of their capabilities, as responses will be evaluated to determine whether competitive alternatives exist that might better serve the agency's requirements. This procurement falls under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and is classified under PSC Code J065 for maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
