About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is seeking repair services for Eaton Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems at the St. Louis VA video facility, with the work intended to support the Institute for Learning, Education and Development (ILEAD). The procurement involves repairing or replacing components for two critical Eaton UPS units that provide backup power for VA systems across 50 states and Puerto Rico, including pre-inspection, safety compliance, AC/DC capacitor updates, and fan replacement services. Contractors must demonstrate they are authorized Eaton Corporation repair service providers and capable of meeting all Statement of Work requirements, with personnel required to work under escort without access to VA IT systems or sensitive information. The government intends to award this as a single source procurement under FAR 13.106-1(b) using a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order structure. Although this is not a competitive solicitation, interested vendors may submit quotations by email to Contract Specialist Jessica Rogers and Contracting Officer Grace Kelly by September 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, though the government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the procurement based on received responses.
This procurement operates under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with no set-aside designation, making it a full and open competition despite the single source intent. The Small Business Administration size standard for this procurement is $34,000,000, indicating the scale of potential contracting opportunities in this sector. The work will be performed at 1 Jefferson Barracks Road in St. Louis, Missouri, focusing specifically on two Eaton UPS units that require restoration to optimal functioning condition. The contract timeline supports the VA's EHRM Data Center build-out initiative, emphasizing the critical nature of maintaining uninterrupted power supply for nationwide VA operations. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the notice, the procurement falls under simplified acquisition procedures, suggesting a value below the simplified acquisition threshold. The government files do not identify any incumbent contractors, positioning this as a fresh procurement opportunity for qualified Eaton-authorized repair service providers.
