About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 15 (VA NCO 15) has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to sole source a contract for electric vehicle charging station maintenance and repair services. The contract will be awarded to Beam Global, located in San Diego, California, for servicing three existing BEAM Electric Vehicle ARC Units at the Heartland VA HealthCare System. The procurement will cover maintenance services from March 30, 2025, to March 29, 2026, with an option for four additional twelve-month periods. The contract will be classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, resulting in a firm-fixed-price service agreement. The sole source justification is based on FAR 6.302-1, indicating that Beam Global is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's specific requirements.

Interested contractors can submit capabilities statements by February 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm CST to Albert.CheeksJr@va.gov, referencing RFQ 36C25525Q0097 in the subject line. Respondents must provide clear evidence demonstrating their ability to provide the required services, with verbal and faxed responses being unacceptable. All potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for contract award. The statement of work includes comprehensive maintenance services such as parts and labor warranty, remote technical support, on-site repairs, configuration changes, and reporting, with a guaranteed two-business-day response time for repair requests. The contract covers three specific BEAM EVARC units located at VA medical centers in Leavenworth and Topeka, Kansas. If no viable responses are received by the specified deadline, VA NCO 15 will proceed with direct negotiations with Beam Global.
