About this opportunity

The Department of Energy Office of Science seeks an Interferometric Displacement Measuring System through UChicago Argonne, LLC (operator of Argonne National Laboratory), with proposals due May 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST—a three-day turnaround from posting.

The system must deliver a selectable measuring rate with a maximum of 6.0 kHz, a measuring range of 2.1 mm, a start of measuring range at 19 mm, and linearity of +/- 10 nm. The RFQ also requests quotations for four ancillary items: a 3-meter fiber optic cable, a vacuum feedthrough, a 1-meter fiber optic cable, and a mounting adapter, each priced individually as line items. Place of performance is the United States. The NAICS code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, and the PSC code is 6650, Optical Instruments, Test Equipment, Components and Accessories.

Evaluation is conducted on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis. Offerors must submit firm fixed-price quotations in US Dollars and complete all three critical components: a signed page one, full completion of page two including anticipated ship date and country of origin, and best and final pricing on individual line items. Omission of any component will result in discard of the proposal. Terms include F.O.B. Destination shipping, Net 30 payment terms, and application of Argonne Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items and Services (ANL-71-COM). Quotations must exclude shipping insurance, as Argonne is self-insured. Offerors must submit the completed ANL-70A Representations and Certifications form and provide estimated lead times and import costs where applicable. Inquiries should be directed to Laura Sanchez at (630) 252-1621 or sanchezl@anl.gov.
