About this opportunity
Pacific Air Forces announced a sole-source intent to award X-Ray vault safety remediation work to Technical Service Group (TSG) by August 5, 2026. This is not a competitive solicitation; the notice invites interested parties to demonstrate capability by the stated deadline but reserves the sole award to TSG based on the government's determination that TSG is the only responsible source.
The work involves turnkey remediation of a nonproprietary X-Ray vault interlock system at Building 1634, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska that has sustained irreparable damage. The 354th Maintenance Squadron requires installation of TSG 501013/501015 Interlock system components, CDRH door switches, beacon, and brackets; system verification and calibration; removal and disposal of legacy equipment; and operational training. The system must achieve full compliance with 21 CFR 1020.40. TSG proprietary equipment and the requirement for TSG-certified technician installation are justified on grounds that no third-party vendors or local contractors hold the proprietary data rights or certifications necessary to perform safe installation, and non-certified work would void warranties and create radiation exposure liability.
NAICS 238210 applies; large business size standard is $19 million. PSC is N099. Contractors wishing to identify interest and capability should contact Contract Specialist John L. Fertulus (john.fertulus@us.af.mil) and Contracting Officer Jaison S. Saavedra (jaison.saavedra@us.af.mil) with capability documentation demonstrating relevant experience no later than 12:00 p.m. August 5, 2026.
