About this opportunity

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to procure an Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA) system to support its COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program and other disaster response efforts. FEMA is seeking a contractor to provide and support software that can assist in responding to inquiries from applicants, as well as duplicate or customize the existing COVID funeral IVA system. The system must operate 24/7, 365 days a year, with the capacity to handle up to 18,000 calls per month and be scalable to handle surges. Key requirements include software programming, testing, quality assurance, and updating the system to match new FEMA policies.

The RFI does not specify any set-aside designations. The relevant NAICS code is likely 541511 (Custom Computer Programming Services), and the PSC code could be D304 (IT and Telecom - Telecommunications and Transmission). No potential incumbents or current contractors are named. While the RFI does not provide specific award values or budget ranges, the system must have the capacity to handle a significant call volume. Interested vendors are requested to submit their capability statements by April 19, 2024, and no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI.
