About this opportunity
The National Park Service Intermountain Region is soliciting quotes for inspection and cleaning services of two 50,000-gallon potable water storage tanks located at Montezuma Castle National Monument in Camp Verde, Arizona and Tuzigoot National Monument in Clarkdale, Arizona. The scope of work includes comprehensive internal and external tank inspections per AWWA C652 standards, sediment and sludge removal up to 3 inches depth, cleaning and disinfection with a minimum 200 ppm chlorine concentration, water testing, and full documentation including photographs, video, and bacteriological test results. Contractors must comply with OSHA confined space entry requirements (29 CFR 1910.146) and possess trained personnel for confined space operations with continuous air monitoring capabilities. Award will be made on a firm-fixed price basis to the offeror providing the best value based on price, technical capability, and prior experience. The original solicitation deadline was February 16, 2026, but Amendment 0002 (effective February 2, 2026) extended the deadline to February 25, 2026, with the questions and answers period now closed as of February 12, 2026.
This is a 100% small business set-aside procurement with no identified incumbent contractor. The contract period of performance runs from February 27, 2026 to April 17, 2026, with an estimated project duration of approximately 2 days and a target completion date of March 13, 2026. The specific work locations are at two national monuments in Arizona: Montezuma Castle (featuring a 30-foot diameter steel welded tank partially below grade with exterior stairway) and Tuzigoot (featuring a 22-foot by 44-foot concrete tank below ground). Offerors must be registered in SAM with an active UEI and certified small business status at quote submission, award, and throughout contract performance, and must comply with Service Contract Act wage determination requirements for Yavapai County, Arizona. All wastewater and solids removed from the tanks must be disposed of at Montezuma Castle National Monument sewage lagoons, and the tanks will remain full during inspection and cleaning operations.
