About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration's Franchise Acquisition Services has issued a Special Notice announcing an Industry Day for the AJW-242 Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) project at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This notice was posted on June 25, 2025, with a due date of July 9, 2025. The Industry Day is scheduled for July 16, 2025, with the first session running from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and a potential afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM if additional capacity is needed. The opportunity falls under NAICS code 237130 for Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction and PSC code Y1BC for Construction of Radar and Navigational Facilities. This is classified as a Special Notice with no set-aside designation.
The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to educate potential contractors about the Qualified Vendor's List (QVL) application process for the UIS project. The QVL is designed to establish a pre-screened pool of qualified vendors whose products or services have been examined, tested, and evaluated to satisfy all applicable qualification requirements. This mechanism allows the FAA to work with contractors who have demonstrated their capability to deliver satisfactory products or perform required services. The QVL approach is particularly suitable for situations where the contracting office anticipates recurring or repetitive requirements for similar supplies or services over a specific period. Contractors interested in participating must engage with the Industry Day process to understand the qualification requirements and application procedures necessary to be included on the vendor list.
Notice text
Industry day for AJW-242 Unmanned Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS). Join us to learn more about the Qualified Vendor's List application process. First session of the day will be from 9-11am 16 July 2025. If an additional session is needed, we will hold an afternoon session from 1-3pm.
A Qualified Vendors List (QVL) is a list of service or product providers who have had their products or services
examined, tested or evaluated and who have satisfied all applicable qualification requirements. QVLs are intended
as a mechanism to establish a pool of qualified vendors, any of which FAA would be satisfied with the products
delivered or services performed. Pre-screening vendors allows only those most qualified contractors to perform a
particular service or provide a particular product during a specific period. QVLs are most appropriate when the
contracting office can reasonably anticipate recurring or repetitive requirements for the same or similar supplies or
services.
