About this opportunity
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) of the Department of the Treasury is seeking to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the procurement of various industrial gases, including acetylene, argon, nitrogen, oxygen, refrigerants, helium, and shielding gas mixtures. The purpose is to provide a time-based replenishment process and simple swap of empty/full gas cylinders to support BEP's currency manufacturing operations at their Washington, D.C. facility. Key requirements include cylinder labeling, safety procedures, delivery within 24 hours if requested, monthly reporting, and compliance with BEP's environmental, health, and safety policies. Offers will be evaluated based on lowest price technically acceptable, and the solicitation has a due date of November 8, 2024.
This procurement is set aside for small businesses, and the BPA will have a one-year base period with up to four one-year option periods. The BPA will be awarded to a single contractor, and the government has not identified any incumbent contractors. While an exact award value is not provided, the gases covered under this BPA are critical to BEP's currency production, so the total spend over the potential five-year duration could be significant. The place of performance is the BEP facility located in Washington, D.C.
