About this opportunity

The Department of Energy Office of Science, specifically Argonne National Laboratory, is seeking to procure two 96-well microplate deep-well plate incubator shakers and a 24V power supply unit for laboratory automation purposes. The solicitation requires vendors to submit detailed proposals that meet specific technical requirements, including the ability to integrate with other automation-friendly instruments like plate readers and robotic arms. Proposals must be submitted to Ailish Murphy via email at amurphy@anl.gov by January 22, 2025, and must include completed pricing information, acceptance of ANL-71COM terms and conditions, and confirmation of country of origin. Vendors must demonstrate compliance with Buy American Act requirements, which mandate that 65% of equipment components be of domestic origin for deliveries between 2024 and 2028. The evaluation will focus on technical capability, pricing, and adherence to the specified integration and automation requirements.

The solicitation is not set aside for any specific category of business, making it open to all qualified vendors. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement is classified under the Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing NAICS category (334516) and Laboratory Equipment and Supplies PSC category (6640). The place of performance is located in Lemont, IL 60439, and the contract requires vendors to disclose whether the equipment is proprietary, identify factory locations, and confirm availability through resellers. Vendors must also address specific questions about equipment origin, production capabilities, and potential alternative procurement methods. The total lead time from purchase order to final delivery is not explicitly stated, but the solicitation emphasizes the importance of detailed technical specifications and compliance with federal acquisition regulations.
