ID PFH 24(10) Davey's Bridge, Boise National Forest, Boise County, Idaho. Bids for the construction of this project are being invited under one of two bid schedules, designated A and B. Schedule A and Schedule B are to be considered as alternate bids. Bidders submit either schedule. Award of the contract will be made based upon the lowest bid offered, regardless of bid schedule.
· Schedule A consists of the construction of a 162'3" long by 69'7" wide, 85"precast pre-stressed bulb tee concrete girder bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck.
· Schedule B consists of the construction of a 162' 3" long by 69' 7" wide steel girder bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck.
The proposed project includes construction of a bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck; abutments are founded on 18 x 0.5 foot concrete filled piles. The work also includes demolition of the existing wood pile and concrete deck bridge, reconstruction of the intersection of Middle Fork Road and Banks Lowman Highway including installation of drainage, guardrails, MSE wall, base, asphalt concrete pavement, striping, signage and other smaller items of work. PRELIMINARY PLANS and a letter with additional project information are in electronic format only and are posted with this synopsis. Registering at ADD TO WATCHLIST box insures notification when solicitation documents are posted. When solicitation documents are issued, the INVITATION FOR BIDS (specifications and plans) will be posted at this link.
Tentatively, work shall be completed by October 24, 2013.
Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $3 million and $5 million.
This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Eligible small business firms; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
