About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Sacramento is seeking a contractor to perform comprehensive HVAC system repairs and replacements at a specific facility. The primary objective of this contract is to restore operational functionality to an existing hot water boiler system, including repairing or replacing associated air handler components, ductwork, and control systems. Specific focus areas include addressing a refrigerant leak in the cooling section of the Air Handler and potentially servicing building automation system elements to ensure full HVAC system performance. The opportunity is classified under the Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors NAICS category (238220) and falls under the equipment maintenance and repair Product Service Code (J041). Interested contractors should note the pre-solicitation was posted on March 10, 2025, with a response deadline of April 23, 2025.

This contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses qualified under the specified NAICS code are eligible to compete. While specific award value details are not provided in the pre-solicitation notice, the scope suggests a complex HVAC system rehabilitation project requiring specialized technical expertise. The project involves multiple system components, including boiler replacement, air handler maintenance, ductwork repair, and potential building automation system interventions. The contract appears to be for the Department of the Army's Engineering District in Sacramento, indicating this is a defense-related procurement with potential implications for laboratory or critical infrastructure space conditioning. Contractors interested in this opportunity should carefully review the full solicitation when released and ensure they meet the small business classification and technical qualifications for comprehensive HVAC system restoration.
