About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Administration is conducting market research for maintenance and support services for approximately 177 automated external defibrillators deployed across all HUD offices nationwide, with capability statement responses due by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, June 26, 2026. This is a Sources Sought Notice issued for information and planning purposes only; HUD is not accepting proposals at this time and will not commit to any procurement based on responses.

HUD seeks vendor feedback on market capacity, potential set-asides (small business, HUBZone, etc.), current processes, and market costs. Performance scope spans HUD Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia (Eisenhower Building) and all HUD Regional and Field Office locations nationwide. The contractor must provide equipment provisioning, routine inspection and preventive maintenance, asset tracking with real-time reporting, program management, emergency support coordination, and training and awareness support. All devices must be FDA-approved and Wi-Fi enabled for integration with HUD infrastructure. Service delivery occurs 0800–1630 Monday through Friday (local time), excluding federal holidays and facility closures.

The anticipated contract period consists of a 12-month base period with up to four 12-month option periods. HUD strongly prefers repurposing 54 existing AED devices currently at the Weaver Building and redistributing them to the Eisenhower Building for cost savings. Interested vendors should submit a capability statement with comments on the attached Performance Work Statement and responses to industry questions to Shelli.J.Waltz@hud.gov by the June 26 deadline. Responding or declining to respond will not preclude participation in any future Request for Quotation.
