About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking to procure three fully autonomous hot food vending machines for deployment at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. These sophisticated kiosks must provide 24/7 unattended food service with specific technical requirements including a 55-inch interactive touchscreen, 220V power supply, refrigeration capacity for 60-100 items, and an internal combination oven capable of reaching 450°F. The machines must accept multiple payment methods including mobile wallets and institutional cards, specifically integrating with JP Morgan/Chase Bank as the sole credit processor using the Apriva payment gateway. Key qualifications include compliance with UL, CSA, and NAMA safety standards, 5G/Wi-Fi/wired connectivity capabilities, and cloud-based inventory management systems. The government has issued a Request for Information (RFI) and Contractor Capability Survey requiring responses by July 11, 2025, at 12:00 EST, with submissions limited to three pages and sent via email to designated Air Force contacts.

This procurement does not currently have a set-aside designation, as the small business set-aside status will be determined based on RFI responses received. The anticipated contract structure will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP), though no specific award values or budget ranges have been disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials. The requirement calls for exactly three hot food vending machines to be delivered to the 78th Force Support Squadron Base Restaurant Vending Warehouse, with contractors required to provide 15-day advance notification and 24-hour phone and email notification prior to delivery. Each machine must come with a one-year commercial warranty covering manufacturing defects, and contractors must implement a Counterfeit Prevention Plan addressing parts sourcing and risk assessment. The machines require no plumbing or exhaust systems for installation and must feature fully automated selection and delivery systems with real-time sales and inventory reporting capabilities.
