 High Speed Tensile Tester




The purpose for this modification/amendment is to amend the pre-solicitation for the purpose of beginning the solicitation process.  The solicitation period will begin May 11, 2017, continue through June 13, 2017, and close at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.  During this solicitation period, the government will be accepting questions about the High Speed Tensile Tester through May 25, 2017 at which time will no longer accept questions; also at that time, we will post to FBO.gov all answers to questions submitted to the government. 


The Request for Proposal (RFP's) submitted to the government shall be constructed in accordance with the attached Purchase Specification, SF 33 RFP FA8224-17-R-0059, and all terms and conditions.  All proposal received will be evaluated in accordance with Section L & M of the solicitation. 


The government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price C type contract.


 


The official solicitation will be post on FBO under the solicitation number FA8224-17-R-0059.

High Speed Tensile Tester synopsis


 


 


 


This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201.  This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an invitation for bid (IFB), nor is it construed as a commitment by the government.  This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offers of an upcoming solicitation for service.


The United States Air Force at Ogden Air logistics Complex (OO_ALC) is conducting this pre solicitation to purchase a High Speed Tensile Tester (HSTT) that will support testing for 1,000 ±100 samples per year.  The ram speeds are 0.1 inches per minute to 2000 inches per minute (ipm).  Test Frame shall be new, High Speed Tensile tester, utilizing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components.  The HSTT shall be integrated with a pressurized conditioning chamber capable of temperature limits between -65 degrees F to 200 degrees F and pressure limit between ambient to 200 PSI.  Please see attached purchase specifications for additional specifications and details.
