About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Commerce, seeks quotations for one high-performance computer system with proposals due September 15, 2026. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 334111 (Electronic Computer Manufacturing), with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
Place of performance is Gaithersburg, Maryland. The system must include an Intel Xeon 676X processor (or equal-or-greater-performance alternative Xeon W-series variant), 256 GB RAM or more, 2 TB M.2 SSD, and NVIDIA PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB graphics card. Equipment must be new, unused, in original manufacturer's packaging with all original documentation and software; gray market, prototype, demonstration, used, or refurbished equipment is unacceptable. Delivery is FOB Destination to Building 220, 100 Bureau Drive, within 30 days after receipt of order. The system must include a minimum two-year warranty. NIST will conduct acceptance testing, which may include visual inspection and performance testing with 3D scan data; NIST reserves discretion to forego performance testing. Payment is Net 30 at 100% upon acceptance and successful completion of testing.
Quotations must be submitted via email to Junee Johnson (junee.johnson@nist.gov) and Forest Crumpler (forest.crumpler@nist.gov) no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 15. Pre-quote inquiries are due within four calendar days of solicitation issuance (September 12). Quotations must be firm-fixed-price on an FOB Destination basis, inclusive of shipping and applicable tariffs, and valid for 90 days from the due date. Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable quoter; the government will evaluate the lowest-priced submission first for technical acceptability, and if acceptable, award without further technical evaluation of competitors. All quoters must maintain active SAM.gov registration at quotation submission and through final payment. Quotations must be organized into three volumes: Technical (demonstrating compliance with NIST requirements), Price (with tariffs and country of origin if applicable), and Terms and Conditions.
