About this opportunity
The Department of the Army National Guard seeks design, procurement, delivery, and installation of a high-density mechanical-assist mobile shelving system at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, with proposals due July 2. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Subpart 12.6 for commercial items.
Place of performance is Little Rock AFB, AR 72099. The 189th Logistics Readiness Squadron requires a turnkey system within a 19.5-foot by 48-foot footprint, configured with back-to-back 36-inch total depth shelves at 18 inches each side, 4-post upright design, minimum 405 pounds per shelf capacity, system height between 11 and 13.5 feet inclusive of vinyl flooring, and adjustable shelves at 1-inch or 1.5-inch increments. The system must accommodate loads up to 10,000 pounds with minimal applied force (no more than 1 pound) and feature mechanical-assist operation with hand cranks on both sides. All visible components require a durable gray finish. The system must include two overhead LED linear fixtures per aisle with automatic illumination controlled to turn on when aisles open and off when closed, full-height steel end panels on all exposed carriage ends, carriage handles on the 48-foot side, and ADA-compliant steel ramps on both sides. A designated 20-amp electrical circuit will be provided by the Government near the central stationary carriage location. Amendment 0001, posted June 23, removed the contractor's requirement to dismantle and dispose of existing shelving; the Government handles this. The contractor must complete installation within 120 days of contract award and provide detailed factory-engineered shop drawings, site logistics plans, height compliance verification, weekly progress reports, and as-built documentation. Award is made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the lowest price meeting all requirements. NAICS code is 337215; PSC code is 7125.
