About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 seeks a certified medical physicist to conduct testing and certification of imaging equipment under Product Service Code H265. This procurement requires vendors to complete and submit a Request for Quote (RFQ) that addresses the government's requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work and accompanying attachments. Key qualifications include certification as a medical physicist with demonstrated capability to perform equipment testing and certification services. Vendors must submit their capabilities and completed RFQ documents to marcus.watts@va.gov by December 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. All questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted via email no later than 24 hours prior to the closing deadline, which means inquiries must be received by December 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. The contract will be awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Alabama Veterans Health Care in Montgomery, Alabama, and evaluation will be based on vendors' ability to provide exactly what the government is requesting.
This opportunity is designated as a set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), meaning only firms meeting this criteria are eligible for award. The pre-solicitation notice provides no information regarding specific award values, budget ranges, or contract timelines for service delivery. Similarly, no incumbent contractor information or specific quantity details are disclosed in the available documentation. The contract classification indicates this falls under NAICS Code 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, suggesting a professional services engagement rather than a supply contract. Interested vendors should note that responsiveness and compliance with submission requirements are critical, as vendors must provide capabilities in the exact format requested by the government to be considered for award.
