About this opportunity
The Department of the Treasury Departmental Offices seeks grease management services for the Treasury Dining Room and Vault Cafe in Washington, DC, with proposals due September 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 561210 with a size standard of $47 million, foreclosing competition outside that pool.
Place of performance is Washington, DC 20220. Services include monthly grease interceptor deep cleaning (7 AM–9 AM Monday–Friday), removal of used cooking oil from fryers not exceeding 100 gallons, housekeeping and site cleanliness, quarterly drain line cleaning using heated sewer jetting systems, and quarterly sewage lift station cleaning (10 PM–4 AM Monday–Thursday or 6 AM–8 PM Saturday). The contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, supplies, and management necessary for performance. Monthly and quarterly service reports, waste disposal manifests, recycling documentation, and chemical safety data sheets are required deliverables.
The period of performance is one year from award date, September 28, 2026 through September 27, 2027. All workers must be U.S. citizens. Building clearance is required at least two days prior to the initial site visit on August 26, 2026 at 7:30 AM EST. A confined space entry plan must be submitted four weeks before lift station work begins. There is no incumbent contractor.
Pricing is firm fixed-price, structured as a lump sum for the base year covering all 12 monthly services, 4 quarterly jetting services, 4 quarterly lift station services, and monthly and quarterly reports for both locations. Proposals must include technical approach and management approach (combined 15 pages maximum), three past performance references from the bidding contractor covering no fewer than three projects within five years, and a completed price schedule. Evaluation weighs technical and management factors more heavily than past performance and price. Award will be made on a best-value basis to the responsible offeror. Amendment 0001 issued August 20, 2026 provides official RFI responses and incorporates FAR 52.219-6 and FAR 52.219-14 by reference.
