About this opportunity

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking a Trusted Broker to purchase off-the-shelf geophysical data and coordinate direct surveys of geophysical information from external sources. The contract will focus on acquiring various data types including gravity, magnetic, seismic reflection, soils, hydrographic, and well log data to support NGA's mission-critical needs. Key contract requirements include establishing vendor contacts, brokering data purchases, sourcing directed geophysical surveys, and performing comprehensive virus scanning on acquired data. The agency will evaluate potential contractors based on performance objectives such as data type and location suitability, timely delivery within 15 days, survey data collection standards, and thorough virus scanning processes. Interested parties must submit a white paper response by 5:00 pm ET on April 21, 2025, via email to specified NGA contacts, with the white paper limited to 12 pages and required to be in Microsoft Word format.

The contract is classified under NAICS category 541360 for Geophysical Surveying and Mapping Services and is currently not set aside for any specific small business category, though potential for small business set-asides exists. The contract will span five years, consisting of a two-year base ordering period with three optional ordering periods, and will be performed at the contractor's facility with uncleared personnel authorized to work on the project. While specific award values were not disclosed in the pre-solicitation documents, the contract aims to expand NGA's potential sources of geophysical data and improve capabilities such as Earth Gravitational Model and crustal magnetic maps. The agency emphasizes that this Request for Information is primarily an information-gathering exercise and does not guarantee the issuance of a future Request for Proposal. Contractors will be expected to demonstrate administrative capabilities, company experience, and specific recommendations for meeting NGA's geophysical data acquisition requirements.
