About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, specifically Commander Navy Region Northwest Port Operations, is soliciting a firm, fixed-price contract for generator uninstall and installation services on Navy Tug YT-810. The contractor will be responsible for detaching and uninstalling the current faulty generator, rigging and removing it from the vessel, and installing a new government-furnished Marathon MagniPlus Synchronous Generator (Model 431PSL6254). Key requirements include providing all necessary hardware, materials, and tools, with work expected to be completed within two to three days. The solicitation will be evaluated based on three criteria: technical capability, price, and past performance, with no stated order of relative importance among these factors. The solicitation deadline is February 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM, with performance expected to commence within 30 days of award issuance and must be completed no later than March 12, 2026.
This is a 100 percent small business set-aside solicitation with no incumbent contractor identified in the available documentation. The government will furnish the replacement generator valued at $12,400, and the contractor must complete the work either at their own facility within seven days or at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, Washington. The vessel will be delivered to and picked up from the contractor's facility or within 20 miles of Naval Base Kitsap by government crew. Inspection and acceptance will occur at both the contractor facility and the destination location, with detailed contact information to be provided upon award. The work falls under NAICS category 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) and PSC J019 (Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment – Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons, and Floating Docks), with the place of performance located in Seattle, Washington.
