About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Georgia Army National Guard seeks procurement of one G4 44,000-pound capacity forklift, with proposals due August 24, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT. The solicitation is full and open competition with a 10 percent price evaluation preference for HUBZone small business concerns; it was originally structured as a total small business set-aside but was converted to full and open after the Government determined insufficient small business manufacturers were available.
Place of performance is Fort Stewart, Georgia, with delivery FOB Destination to Marietta, Georgia by September 30, 2026, with the contractor bearing transportation costs. The estimated award value is $8.0 million on a firm fixed price basis.
The forklift must meet stringent mandatory specifications: 44,000 lbs lift capacity at a 48-inch load center; 2-stage mast with minimum 236-inch fork height for 3-high ISO container stacking and lowered mast height not exceeding 200 inches; 96-inch forks on a roller carriage with hydraulically operated independent sideshift and fork-positioning; puncture-resistant foam-filled pneumatic or solid tires; fully enclosed steel operator cab with electronic climate control and integrated backup camera; elevated engine air intake with pre-cleaner; and joystick controls. The engine must be compression-ignition diesel capable of continuous operation on JP-8 tactical aviation turbine fuel without Selective Catalytic Reduction or Diesel Particulate Filter systems, supported by an EPA National Security Exemption. The contractor must supply operator and preventative maintenance training. Remanufactured equipment is acceptable if specifications are met.
The NAICS code is 333924, Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing, with an $8.0 million size standard. Evaluation criteria are technical merit, past performance assessed through CPARS, and price reasonableness. This is a one-time purchase with single payment upon acceptance.
