About this opportunity
The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base announced a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Albireo Energy, LLC for a digital security camera system upgrade at Building 1404 with a response deadline of July 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. The sole source justification rests on equipment and integration compatibility: the new cameras and door control system must be procured from Albireo Energy to ensure seamless integration with existing security infrastructure, and all work must be performed by Albireo or authorized technicians to preserve warranty coverage. The requirement includes 45 cameras (interior domes, PTZ units, fisheye, exterior corner and wall units, and bullet cameras with infrared), observation software with minimum two-week retention, four dedicated observation stations, and spare hardware including card readers, motion detectors, and electromagnetic locks. Contractor must hold Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Certified Partner status and demonstrate prior Access Expert integration experience. Performance of work occurs at Maxwell Air Force Base and requires 30-day advance contractor notification, antiterrorism compliance at FPCON Bravo level, base identification, REAL ID-compliant credentials, and vehicle inspection. The contract is structured as Firm-Fixed Price under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures with performance beginning September 30, 2026. Other capable contractors may submit capability evidence and company information to Samantha Millington (samantha.millington.1@us.af.mil; 334-953-5611) or LaChandra Thompson (lachandra.thompson@us.af.mil; 334-953-6569) by the deadline; if no responsive offers are received, the contract will be awarded to Albireo Energy.
