About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command, specifically through the 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, is seeking external educational partners to develop specialized training programs for U.S. Space Force Guardians. The procurement focuses on creating cutting-edge curriculum in three critical areas: Cybersecurity, Joint Planning Process, and Artificial Intelligence familiarization. Key contract requirements include developing comprehensive courses for different personnel levels, such as a one-week Cybersecurity Course for E5-level Cyber Defense personnel, a three-day Joint Planners Course, and a four-day Artificial Intelligence Familiarization Course. Educational institutions must be located within a 75-mile radius of Patrick Space Force Base and provide courses with active learning components, practical exercises, and formal certifications. The sources sought synopsis indicates responses must be submitted via email to Jordan Johnson and Jeremy Kersey by 12:00 P.M. Central Standard Time on March 24, 2025, with the understanding that this is not a formal solicitation.
The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside and falls under NAICS Category 611430 for Professional and Management Development Training. While no specific incumbent contractors are mentioned, the Space Force is explicitly seeking external partners due to limited internal staffing capabilities. The courses are designed to be delivered in-person, hybrid, and virtually, with pilot programs planned over a 12-month period. Each course has specific target audiences, including E5-level Cyber Defense enlisted personnel, individuals filling Joint Duty Assignment List positions, and civilian support roles in Executive Services, Human Resources, and Financial Management. The government will assess potential partners based on their ability to provide comprehensive, high-quality educational experiences that enhance Guardians' skills across critical technological domains. Interested vendors are encouraged to provide detailed information about their capabilities, though they are cautioned against submitting competition-sensitive or proprietary information.
