About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is soliciting proposals for the procurement of 150 new ultra short throw projectors and 150 corresponding projector mounts for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Center (NNPTC) in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The requirement is being conducted as a "brand name or equal" acquisition, specifically seeking Epson PowerLite 760W Ultra Short Throw 3LCD Projectors with matching Epson ELPMB62 Ultra Short Throw Wall Mounts, though equivalent products meeting the detailed salient characteristics may be proposed. The projectors must meet stringent technical specifications including 4,100 lumens brightness, 1280 x 800 native resolution, laser diode light source, and multiple connectivity options including USB and network capabilities. The contract will be awarded using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation method, with price as the primary factor and technical acceptability as the secondary criterion. Quotes are due by September 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, and must be submitted via email to the specified Air Force contracting personnel.

Originally designated as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 334310 (Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing), Amendment 01 issued on September 12, 2025, dissolved the set-aside designation and converted the solicitation to an unrestricted basis, opening competition to all qualified vendors. The procurement requires 150 projectors and 150 wall mounts to be delivered to 101 NNPTC Circle, Goose Creek, South Carolina 29445, supporting classroom renovations and expansion initiatives. All equipment must be new, factory-assembled, and include a minimum one-year manufacturer's warranty covering parts and labor. The acquisition falls under PSC code 6730 (Photographic Projection Equipment) and requires all vendors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award consideration. The government intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct interchanges with offerors if necessary.
