About this opportunity

The U.S. Marshals Service is procuring one used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD SUV for mission-critical fugitive apprehension operations through a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procurement process. The vehicle must meet strict specifications including a maximum of 5,000 miles, no panoramic sunroof for security reasons, Premium Smooth Ride suspension, and color options limited to Sterling Gray, Dark Ash, White, or Black. No substitutions are allowed, and the evaluation will prioritize technical acceptability first, followed by the lowest price among technically acceptable offers. The procurement follows a two-step evaluation where the lowest-priced offer is evaluated for technical compliance, and if acceptable, an award is made without further consideration of higher-priced proposals. Proposals were due on September 16, 2025, at 07:00 ET, with Amendment #1 posted on September 12, 2025, including questions and answers to clarify requirements.

This solicitation is set aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS code 441110 (New Car Dealers) with a size standard of $30,500,000, though no specific contract value is disclosed in the available documentation. The procurement covers a single vehicle with delivery required within 30 days after contract award to 808 McKee Street, Dallas, TX 75215, during business hours (08:30-17:00, Monday through Friday). The contract period extends from September 29, 2025, through March 29, 2026, with the vehicle serving the Dallas operational area. The Tahoe must include standard manufacturer warranties covering 3 years/36,000 miles basic coverage, 5 years/60,000 miles drivetrain coverage, and 5 years of roadside assistance. No incumbent contractors are identified in the solicitation materials, indicating this appears to be a new procurement requirement.
