About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for Furniture Moving Services intended to prepare personal property of Department of Defense personnel for shipment and storage. The pre-solicitation notice is designed to gather market research and determine contractor capabilities for potential future solicitation. Contractors interested in responding must provide detailed information including their firm's name, contact details, DUNS number, CAGE code, and applicable NAICS code (484210). Respondents are expected to demonstrate previous experience with similar requirements, highlighting project size, scope, complexity, and relevant certifications. The notice emphasizes that this is an information-gathering exercise and does not constitute an official Request for Quote (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Proposal (RFP), with responses due by December 12, 2024.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, meaning the opportunity appears open to all qualifying contractors. Potential contractors must be prepared to comply with personal identity verification requirements specified in FAR Clause 52.204-9 as directed by DOD, HQDA, and local policies. Respondents should provide comprehensive information about their commercial availability, including pricing methodologies, delivery schedules, standard terms and conditions, and warranty details. Contractors must specify whether they intend to compete as a prime contractor and disclose any planned subcontracting, joint venture, or teaming arrangements. While no specific award value or contract duration is mentioned, the notice suggests this is a preliminary market research phase to assess potential contractor capabilities for future furniture moving service procurement.
