About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis is seeking a non-personal services contract to provide an x-ray machine and maintenance services for the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) at Fort Leavenworth. The primary objective is to enhance facility security by screening military equipment and bags for weapons and contraband, supporting a maximum security military prison housing over 430 inmates. Contractors must provide a comprehensive solution including an x-ray machine, personnel, equipment, and maintenance services that meet specific technical requirements. The solicitation will use a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation methodology, focusing on technical understanding, past performance references, and comprehensive pricing. Potential offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit a technical approach demonstrating project comprehension, with responses due by April 24, 2025.
The contract is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 811210 with a $34 million size standard, specifically targeting electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance services. The contract period spans five years, consisting of a base year and four one-year option periods from May 2025 to April 2030. The x-ray machine must meet specific technical specifications, including a tunnel size of at least 23" x 15", a flat panel color monitor, 256 GB SSD storage, and contraband detection software. Performance will occur at 881 McClellan Ave, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, with the contractor required to provide 24/7 technical support and an on-site field service technician within three business days. Contractor personnel must undergo background investigations and adhere to strict security protocols when accessing the maximum security facility, with the contract aimed at supporting the safety and security of both staff and inmates.
Notice text
This is a non-personal services contract to provide an x-ray machine and maintenance.
