About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command issued a Notice of Intent to sole-source a Firm-Fixed-Price with Time-and-Materials contract for forklift and material handling equipment maintenance to BRK Lift Truck, with a capability statement deadline of September 10, 2026. This is a total small business set-aside.

The requirement covers scheduled preventative maintenance, safety inspections, diagnostic assessments, and corrective repair services for five Government-owned assets—a Doosan D160S-5 heavy forklift, Hyster E100ZS electric forklift, Caterpillar TH255C telehandler, Raymond 4750C65 electric counterbalance forklift, and Hyster H550XD-48 heavy-duty forklift—operating at facilities in Suitland, Maryland and Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. The contract spans a one-year base period plus four one-year option periods. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, diagnostic equipment, tools, and OEM-prescribed replacement parts, with semi-annual or annual preventative maintenance, OSHA-compliant safety inspections, 24–48 business hour emergency response capability, and monthly Field Service Reports. Deliverables include a PM Schedule Plan within 30 days of award, repair cost estimates prior to nonroutine work, and Annual Asset Health Summaries 30 days before each contract period ends. The NAICS code is 811310 with a $12.5 million size standard; PSC is J039. The Government justifies the sole-source award based on the vendor's certified technicians, OEM authorizations, tooling, and established facility access capabilities. This notice is not a competitive solicitation; the Government retains discretion to proceed or recompete.
