About this opportunity
The Department of State Office of Inspector General (OIG) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify vendors capable of providing FISMA auditing services for the Department of State and the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM). The primary objective is to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a vendor that can perform comprehensive IT-related performance audits to assess the effectiveness of information security programs. Key contract requirements include conducting annual financial statement audits, SOC 1 Type 2 examinations, and other attestation engagements aligned with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014. Vendors must submit responses by November 29, 2024, at 12:00 PM EST, with preliminary questions due by November 15, 2024. The RFI is structured to gather market research and identify potential contractors with expertise in federal IT security auditing.
The opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses, with the current incumbent being Kearney & Company under contract 19AQMM20A0536. The estimated value of the new requirement is approximately $56 million, indicating a significant investment in comprehensive IT security auditing services. The contract will allow for approved subcontracting if deemed necessary by the selected vendor. Respondents are advised that the government will not compensate for submission costs, and participation in this RFI does not guarantee future solicitation. The scope of work encompasses detailed auditing of IT security programs, financial statements, and performance evaluations for multiple federal agencies, requiring vendors to demonstrate substantial experience in federal IT security compliance and auditing methodologies.
