About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Installation and Mission Support Center Installation Contracting Agency has issued a Special Notice for a Fire & Emergency Services Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Industry Day scheduled for 17-18 June 2025 at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. The event was rescheduled from a previously planned April meeting in Indianapolis and will be hosted by AFCEC/CXF along with Mission Partners from the 772d Enterprise Sourcing Squadron and the Department of the Air Force Small Business Office. This industry day focuses on exploring the latest advancements in firefighter PPE products that support Air Force firefighters. The notice applies to manufacturers, vendors, and distributors of fire safety and emergency response equipment. The opportunity is open to all interested parties without any specific set-aside restrictions.
The primary objectives of the industry day are to gather information on available PPE products, identify potential vendors and manufacturers, and assess the industry's capacity for long-term contracts with the Department of the Air Force. Contractors must register by 16 May 2025 at 1400 CST using the provided registration form, with each company limited to three attendees. Participants can choose between in-person and virtual attendance, and will have the opportunity to engage in one-hour meetings with government representatives. The event aims to foster open dialogue and establish relationships for future procurement opportunities, with a focus on comprehensive PPE specifications including firefighting protective hoods, boots, coats, pants, and helmets. Vendors will be expected to demonstrate compliance with specific technical requirements, such as NFPA 1971 standards, Berry Amendment requirements, and detailed performance metrics for protective equipment. While this is an informational event, it represents a significant networking opportunity for companies in the fire safety and emergency services equipment sector.
