About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution in Miami, Florida, is seeking to procure subsistence supplies including meat, dairy, bread, spices, and religious dietary products (kosher and halal items) for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 through solicitation 15B30925Q00000005. The procurement encompasses a wide range of food products including dry beans, rice, pasta, cereals, canned vegetables, meat products, dairy items, and prepared meals to support the nutritional needs of the inmate population. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award and must adhere to strict food safety regulations, packaging requirements, and specific dietary standards. The government will award to the responsible contractor whose offer is most advantageous based on price-related factors and past performance per FAR 13.106-2(b)(3). Critical dates include the solicitation availability on August 22, 2025, with quotes due by September 5, 2025, at 11:00 ET, and an estimated delivery date of October 20, 2025.
This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside with NAICS code 311999 (All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing) and a size standard of 1,000 employees. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed price arrangement with FOB Destination terms, and deliveries must be made to the Federal Correctional Institution at 15801 SW 137th Ave, Miami, FL 33177. The government reserves the right to make single or multiple awards upon completion of the evaluation process. Delivery is expected within the first month of the quarter or within 21 calendar days of award, emphasizing the time-sensitive nature of food service operations. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the solicitation materials, though the scope suggests a substantial procurement to support the dietary requirements of the Miami correctional facility's inmate population.
