About this opportunity
The Peterson Space Force Base 21st Contracting Squadron is conducting market research for a two-part contract involving Fire Alarm Reserve System (FARS) Phase II Upgrade and FireWorks System Installation across Peterson Space Force Base and Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Base in Colorado. The procurement encompasses network switch replacements, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) upgrades, and comprehensive system hardware, firmware, and software installations in multiple base buildings. Key contract requirements include compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards, and delivering all necessary personnel, equipment, and resources for system implementation. Contractors must respond to specific market research questions by April 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time, with any questions due by March 31, 2025, at 9:00 AM Mountain Time. The evaluation will focus on contractors' capabilities to provide services, delivery timelines, equipment specifications, and potential contract vehicles. The solicitation uses NAICS code 334220 for Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, though the size standard is 1,250 employees. The contract involves installing equipment in five specific buildings at Peterson Space Force Base, including Buildings 1, 893, 982, 1156, and 2025, with a total equipment list comprising 8 Cisco network switches, 8 secondary power supplies, multiple fiber and copper SFP modules, 7 uninterruptable power supplies, and associated FireWorks system components like servers, workstations, and software licenses. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the system upgrade suggests a significant investment in infrastructure modernization. The project requires contractors to have at least 5 years of experience with EST/FireWorks systems and NICET certifications, with work to be performed during specific hours (0700-1500) Monday through Friday. A mandatory 2-year parts and labor warranty is required, and contractors must provide comprehensive documentation and on-site training for the 21 CES Fire Alarm Shop personnel.
