About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service has issued a Special Notice for the Smiley Creek Bridge Replacement and Road Realignment project in the Sawtooth National Forest. This notice is being provided for informational purposes to allow prospective vendors the opportunity to assess the project site prior to the issuance of the full solicitation, which is anticipated when the site becomes inaccessible due to seasonal closures or inclement weather.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to give vendors a chance to visit the project location on November 7, 2024 and familiarize themselves with the work, which includes installing a new prefabricated steel bridge superstructure, constructing new road approaches, and performing other miscellaneous improvements. The estimated construction value is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Vendors interested in attending the site visit must notify the Forest Service point of contact, Braidy Richins, by the prior day's noon deadline. This is not a request for proposal, quote, or bid, and the Government does not intend to award a contract based solely on this site visit.
