About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential contractors capable of delivering and installing a temporary furniture wall for the 461st Air Control Network Squadron conference room at Robins Air Force Base. The procurement requires a contractor to provide site survey services and installation of a modular wall system measuring 32 feet long, 5 feet 11.25 inches wide, and 119.5 inches high, featuring two entry doors, windowpanes for natural light transmission, and materials rated to at least STC 35 for sound reduction. Contractors must demonstrate the capability to begin installation within 90 days of contract award and provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment while adhering to base security protocols and ADA compliance standards. This market research effort is classified under NAICS code 238390 (Other Building Finishing Contractors) and responses must be submitted to Procurement Contracting Officer Alycia Smith and Contract Specialist Adria M. Pitts by close of business on July 29, 2025. The government emphasizes this is purely an information-gathering exercise and not a formal solicitation.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all businesses regardless of size, including large businesses, small businesses, joint ventures, and teaming arrangements. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the documentation, and the government has not disclosed any budget ranges or potential award values for this requirement. The project specifications call for 16-gauge steel panels in black and warm grey colors, quarter-inch clear tempered glass inserts, and wooden doors with specific hardware requirements, though the total quantities of these materials are not explicitly detailed. The installation timeline requires completion within 90 days of contract award, and the contractor must ensure the wall system can withstand a 50-pound lateral force while maintaining structural integrity without permanent alterations to the existing building infrastructure. The government retains ownership of all submitted estimates and responses, which will not be returned to participating contractors.
