About this opportunity
This solicitation has been cancelled. The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command cancelled solicitation F4FANG6133A001 for EOU Sunshades at Creech AFB, determining that the requirement is no longer needed because the requiring activity identified existing Government space. No award will be made.
Prior to cancellation, the procurement was a Total Small Business Set Aside for design, fabrication, and installation of four new aircraft sunshade structures (80 feet long by 115 feet wide by 28 feet height) at Creech Air Force Base, Indian Springs, Nevada, with relocation of four existing structures and demolition of a fifth sunshade. Place of performance was Creech AFB, Nevada. The NAICS code is 332312 (Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing); PSC is 5450 (Miscellaneous Prefabricated Structures).
The requirement was 100% design-build. Contractor responsibilities included all engineering, stamped structural calculations sealed by a licensed engineer, FAA Form 7460-1 submission, concrete core sampling, underground utility location via AF Form 103 (Dig Permit), field surveying, and post-award dimension verification. Each sunshade required a gabled Standing Seam Metal Roof system designed for 110 MPH wind loads, LED lighting with 208Y120 three-phase service panels, NEMA 4 enclosures, hardwired 120-volt obstruction lights with solar photovoltaic backup and 12-hour battery pack, exothermically welded copper grounding rods tested to not exceed 25 ohms resistance, and a five-year construction warranty. The Buy American Act applied to all materials. Contractor personnel required base security clearance and flight line training; work hours were restricted to 0700–1700 with Government-provided escort coordination. The period of performance was 210 calendar days (90 days design, 120 days per structure construction), with schedule relief for Government-directed stoppages and FAA/TACW approval delays. Award was LPTA to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer.
Before cancellation, the due date had been extended multiple times, with the final quote deadline set for September 10, 2026. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for July 14, 2026, and questions were due July 21, 2026.
