About this opportunity

Air Combat Command intends to solicit the design, purchase, and installation of four shade structures for the Experimental Operations Unit at Creech Air Force Base, with a response deadline of July 31, 2026. The procurement is set aside for Total Small Business.

Place of performance is Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, on the south ramp west of current structures. The contractor shall design and construct four four-bay CCA shade structures with galvanized steel gabled standing seam metal roofs capable of withstanding 110 MPH wind loads or seismic loads, whichever is greater. Roof panels must be minimum 22 gauge, 24 inches wide with 2-inch standing seams, painted to Frazee Paint #213 Travatan. Electrical requirements include 100-amp 208Y120 three-phase service panels, 120-volt LED lighting per bay, NEMA 4 service power outlets, EMT conduit wiring, and one hardwired 120-volt obstruction light with battery backup per structure. Each structure requires a 12-hour battery-powered photovoltaic array or solar panel system for LED lighting. The contractor must also relocate four existing structures perpendicular to align with new installations and demolish a fifth sunshade.

Performance period is 90 calendar days for design and 120 days per shade structure for construction (210 total calendar days). The contractor must submit FAA Form 7460-1 for Federal Aviation Administration approval and comply with seismic design provisions (UFC 3-301-01, IBC 2018, ASCE 7-16), thermal movement requirements (AISC 360), and grounding standards (AFI 32-1065, UFC 3-575-01). All contractor personnel require base security training and proper identification; restricted-area work requires line badges for areas 4 and 20. The contractor must provide a five-year construction warranty and 40-year material warranty for standing seam metal panels with a 25-year appearance warranty.
