About this opportunity
The Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS) Contracting Office in Key West, Florida is seeking emergency lodging services for potential personnel relocation during hurricane events. The agency requires accommodation capabilities for up to 350 rooms in Florida-based hotels, including specific amenities such as kitchenettes, internet access, and pet-friendly facilities. Additionally, the contract will require a conference room with capacity for 600 people and audiovisual equipment. Interested businesses must submit a ten-page capabilities statement by May 15, 2025, at 2 pm EST, addressing their past performance, technical skills, and ability to manage similar tasks. The evaluation will focus on the organization's capacity to provide consistent services, apply necessary corporate resources, implement effective project management, and perform under a performance-based service acquisition contract. Responses must be emailed to Yasemin.akman-lloyd.civ@mail.mil.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates that the contract may be set aside for small businesses, with all small business categories being considered. The NAICS code is 721110, with a small business size standard of $32,500,000, and businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond. Respondents must clearly identify their business size and provide details about their small business status, including whether they qualify as Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUBZone, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned. The government emphasizes that if a small business set-aside is implemented, the prime contractor must perform at least 50% of the work in terms of cost of performance. While specific contract details such as total award value are not disclosed, the requirement involves lodging services for approximately 335 total JIATFS personnel, including civilians, military, and international partners. The contract will be structured to support potential emergency relocations, particularly in response to hurricane events, with the ultimate goal of ensuring personnel safety and operational continuity.
