About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is soliciting maintenance services for Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs) at Travis Air Force Base in California through a Request for Information (RFI) pre-solicitation notice. The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance services including annual, semi-annual, and on-call maintenance for aerial lift equipment, with all associated personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, and materials provided by the contractor. Key requirements include performing initial inspections and serviceable condition repairs, maintaining on-site logs of all maintenance activities, submitting written reports within three business days of service completion, ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications, and maintaining annual OSHA certification for all maintenance personnel. Contractors must be available to inspect equipment breakdowns and provide cost estimates within three business days, and all work must be completed during 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday hours with a minimum 48-hour advance notice requirement. Interested vendors must submit responses by February 6, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time to both juliet.diggs.1@us.af.mil and clark.teninty.1@us.af.mil, including business information, CAGE Code, Unique Entity ID, and a capability statement; notably, this RFI does not constitute a commitment to contract and non-response does not preclude future participation.
This opportunity is not designated as a set-aside contract and no incumbent contractor information is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. The contract is projected as a potential five-year agreement covering maintenance of a fleet of 33 aerial lift machines across four Travis AFB units, including various boom lifts ranging from 45.5 to 80 feet and scissor lifts ranging from 15 to 50 feet housed in multiple buildings and hangars. The government will furnish utilities, security, and emergency services but will not provide facilities, materials, parts, or personnel certifications, placing the financial burden on the contractor for all operational costs. While no specific budget or award value is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scope and duration of the contract suggest a substantial procurement; interested parties should note that the RFI is classified under NAICS 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and PSC J035 (Maint/Repair/Rebuild Of Equipment- Service And Trade Equipment).
