The procurement calls for two autonomous eDNA auto sampler units capable of collecting water samples for environmental DNA analysis in freshwater environments. Units must feature modular systems supporting filtration, preservation, and water collection with autonomous and tethered operation modes, user-friendly programming interface, and integrated RFID or equivalent traceability with Bluetooth and/or satellite communication. All components must be compatible with standard sterilization protocols (autoclave or bleach).
Performance specifications include maximum eight samples per deployment, operable filter pore size 5.0 micrometers, operating temperature range 0–40 degrees Celsius, lift capability 0–2 meters above water surface, water-resistant enclosure rating IP 43, flow rates 0.1–1.4 liters per minute, and volume measurement accuracy 95 percent. GPS compatibility must support GNSS standards (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou) with approximately 2.5-meter position accuracy. Physical design shall be compact (24–30 inches length, 17–24 inches width, 12–16 inches height) and weigh 100 pounds. Power specifications require 12.8-volt 22.5 ampere-hour Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable batteries with minimum three-plus-hour pumping runtime and approximately 30-day maximum deployment duration, plus optional solar panel charging. Deliverables include four total batteries (two per unit), two chargers, two solar panel chargers (if available), intake hoses, connectors, strainers, sterilization filters, two custom carrying cases, and shipping straps. Manufacturer's standard warranty with minimum one-year parts and labor coverage is required.

NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, BUT RATHER A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS TO DETERMINE POTENTIAL SOURCES FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
The Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing eDNA Auto Samplers as detailed within Attachment 1.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with an associated size standard of 1,000 applying to this announcement.
RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
