About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking a contractor to perform comprehensive inspections of four alternators for power plant generators at the remote Eareckson Air Station in Alaska. This specialized project requires the contractor to disassemble, inspect, and reassemble alternators for gensets NKB00320, NKB00317, NKB00315, and NKB00316, following strict compliance with Kato Engineering Manual and UFC 3-540-07 standards. The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, housing, food, and transportation to the remote job site, while adhering to NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and all federal, state, and local regulations. The work includes voltage checks, potential load tests, and comprehensive documentation using approved inspection forms with accompanying photographs. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on July 24, 2025, with responses due by July 27, 2025, providing an extremely short turnaround time for interested contractors.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualifying small business entities. The project involves four specific alternators with serial numbers 31177-04, 31177-03, 31177-01, and 31177-02, and must be completed by June 30, 2025. The contractor will be required to submit an Integrated Master Schedule within 30 days of contract award and provide weekly progress reports throughout the project duration. All project close-out documentation must be submitted within 10 days of completion, with work oversight provided by the 611th CES Squadron. The remote Alaska location presents unique logistical challenges, as the contractor bears full responsibility for personnel and material transportation to and from the job site, as well as all accommodations during the project period. The base support contractor may provide assistance with engine disassembly and reassembly, with all activities coordinated through the EAS Base Site Support Letter.
